The Great City Swap with Scotrail

Scottish Blogger

I always think of Edinburgh as Glasgow's elegant, wiser, and more historical older cousin. With classic, cobbled streets and the most gorgeous architecture, it's steeped in so much history and beauty, but in a totally different way to Glasgow. This weekend I took part in the Great City Swap with Scotrail, and hopped on the train with Ashley to spend a day exploring our magnificent capital.

Tempus restaurant at the Grand Central Hotel

Tempus Glasgow

I'm sure you're all aware by now of my dedicated love affair with wining and dining in Glasgow (read: pls don't judge pregnant me for ANOTHER food related post I JUST CAN'T HELP IT) The Tempus restaurant at Grand Central Hotel launched a new menu at the end of summer, and after sampling their delicious food at our annual blogger sleepover held at the hotel (2015 & 2016's posts) I was intrigued to see what new offerings were on their menu, which was designed to showcase the very best of Scottish cuisine and culture - featuring locally sourced seasonal produce and ingredients.

18 week pregnancy update

Pregnant 1

It still doesn't feel completely real when I talk or type about anything pregnancy related. Since my last (and first!) update, the days have been absolutely flying in and in a few weeks time I'll already be halfway through. If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you might have seen that we went for an early private scan to find out our little bubs gender, and it turns out we are having a boy! I had a midwife appointment this morning before work, and we got to hear his heartbeat again (always a nice and obvious reminder that hey, he's definitely still in there!) This whole experience is completely new and unchartered territory for me, so I thought I would give you a super honest rundown of how I've been finding things so far.
