Tempus restaurant at the Grand Central Hotel

Tempus Glasgow

I'm sure you're all aware by now of my dedicated love affair with wining and dining in Glasgow (read: pls don't judge pregnant me for ANOTHER food related post I JUST CAN'T HELP IT) The Tempus restaurant at Grand Central Hotel launched a new menu at the end of summer, and after sampling their delicious food at our annual blogger sleepover held at the hotel (2015 & 2016's posts) I was intrigued to see what new offerings were on their menu, which was designed to showcase the very best of Scottish cuisine and culture - featuring locally sourced seasonal produce and ingredients.

18 week pregnancy update

Pregnant 1

It still doesn't feel completely real when I talk or type about anything pregnancy related. Since my last (and first!) update, the days have been absolutely flying in and in a few weeks time I'll already be halfway through. If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you might have seen that we went for an early private scan to find out our little bubs gender, and it turns out we are having a boy! I had a midwife appointment this morning before work, and we got to hear his heartbeat again (always a nice and obvious reminder that hey, he's definitely still in there!) This whole experience is completely new and unchartered territory for me, so I thought I would give you a super honest rundown of how I've been finding things so far.

Sailing and seafood with Scotts of Largs

Welcome on board

Ahoy me hearties. Did I ever tell you how much I love boats (I LOVE boats) And how relaxing I find the noise of the waves, the salty smell of the ocean and that pure sea breeze? Perhaps enough to convince myself I was probably a sailor in a past life, and definitely enough to get a captain, ship and lighthouse tattooed on my hands. So as you can imagine, I was pretty excited when Scotts of Largs and Beattie invited me down for a day on the water, to sample some highlights of their menu while cruising the open seas.
