Last night

A drunk driver smashed into mine and my papas car while they were parked outside my house at about 11pm.

The pictures really don't capture the scene the way I saw it last night. There was debris everywhere, my papas car had been dragged up onto the pavement and mines had been bumped out into the middle of the main road. His is certainly a write off but I'm hoping little Cosmo's injuries are fixable.

The worst of all, is that this woman - while completely blootered - just drove away from the scene with her car probably smashed to bits too (I can only assume) Witnesses took down her details and someone attempted to stop her further up the road, and I hope she gets caught because she could have killed someone if anyone had got caught in her path.

Bit of a mental end to a week where I've just worked 7 days straight at the BBC, and clocked up over 80 hours (and was using my car every single day, ironically) I cant stop thinking about the 'what if's' and if my papa had went out 5 minutes earlier to put the cars in the driveway, what if she had ran him over? Luckily he was watching the end of the football highlights with our keys in his hand when the smash happened. But I need to stop thinking that way or I'll drive myself insane :( I am emotionally exhausted, but hopefully I'll be back with a more positive update soon ♥

  1. You poor, poor thing. How terribly traumatic. Try to stop with the 'what ifs', your Papa is safe. Hope they catch the awful human being that thinks it's ok to drink and drive.

  3. The way I look at it, don't think what if, if it was meant to be it would have happened. It didn't so it wasn't meant to have happened.

As for the woman, I don't use this word often but I hate people like that. Like you say, what if someone had been walking home from the pub, or a friends house, or walking a dog on a lovely summers eve. That stupid woman not stopping and for even deciding to get in a car and drive deserves the book thrown at her.

Imagine you are knackered! hard working thing!

    X xx

  5. God, that's horrible :( What a stupid bitch.
One of my best friend's lost her brother to a drunk driver over christmas. It was one of the worst thing's I've ever been through, knowing how much pain my pal was in. How anyone can drink and drive just baffles me.
Even though what happened to you was super scary, just be thankful you're all okay.
Hope everything's okay at BBC, sounds like you're working your butt off! I really must stop grumbling about my crappy 20hours a week job at Topshop, i don't know how easy I've got it!
Hope they can fix your car and that your schedule calms down a bit!

  6. some people are idiots! don't upset yourself with the 'what if's'though (: what's important is that you're all alright [even if the cars aren't!] i'm sure that woman will get what's coming to her one day.

  7. I really really hope she gets arrested and looses her licence. What an idiot!! Luckily it was only your cars that were damaged (although I know that’s no consolation). Glad you’re okay! X

  9. Ahhh honey so sorry to hear this - what awful news. It's terrifying that people try and drive when drunk. I just can't understand it and I hope that this proposed zero tolerance law comes in. Hope that Cosmo can be fixed and just be thankful that you're all safe and well xx

  12. Stuff like this makes me SO angry. What a stupid woman, she could have killed someone without even realising it because she was so hammered. I always worry myself with what-ifs too, but you can't think that way - you are all fine, and that's a blessing. But it's terrifying! So glad you are all okay and no one was hurt. And I really, really hope she gets caught and goes away for a very long time. What a stupid idiot.

  14. Hello everyone! I am David, Aydens Boyfriend and I thought I would comment on this post because she has been working oh so hard and I am very proud of her. You people obviously get a sense of what an amazing person she is and it's nice to see how many of you enjoy reading her posts. With regards to the person who caused this accident, I hope, as well as being banned and fined, that she gets fired from her job, and subsequently is left with nothing!

    Love you Ayden x

  21. Heya Ayden :)
it's weird when things like that happen that you start to consider the events leading up to it and how many coincidences seem to appear. Like things were just meant to happen. Am glad noone was hurt :D x
